The Specific objectives of it's program are to:
- Strengthen the capacity of political parties to more effectively and responsibly participate in the electoral process.
- Strengthen capacity of domestic observers and party agents to monitor national and state elections.
- Enhance the democratic role of and use of new and traditional media in the political process,
- To promote stakeholder dialogues on the electoral process.
- Compile monthly impress reports including all data entry and report generation
- Manage bill payment and receipt organization
- Draft three-month rolling office budget each month
- Track cash on hand to cover weekly expenses, including advances
- Reviewing staff expenses reports an dE2 reconciliations
- Respond to all finance and accounting requests from RCD, IRI Regional Accountant, and IRI accountant in Washington DC
- Performs miscellaneous tasks and other duties as assigned.
- Make cash payments to staff (reimbursements and advances) upon approval of RCD
- Make bi-monthly staff salary payments
- Maintam accurate banking records, conducting correspondence with bank as necessary with the approval of RCD
- Conduct regular reconciliations between bank statements and funds on hand
- Responsible for safeguarding of petty cash.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Ability to work well with others, meet deadlines and respond to changes in priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently, take initiative set priorities and see projects through completion
- Solid command of English language. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong organizational skills
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience with NGOs/Accounting software user experience.
